Ok, I just got off the phone with my local field office and she said my case is still pending at the ODAR office but they are going to transfer my case to the local field so they can get my check started if it's favorable. So, I asked her what that means she said that they are waiting on my file will to come to them. ( local field office) Does this mean I could be approved and she was trying to give me a hint?

If it is still pending at ODAR, then I don't believe that the SSA representative at the field office can see the decision....just that it is pending.

You have a SSI clsim, right?  Because only SSI claims are processed at the local office.  Successful SSDI claims go to the payment processing center in Baltimore.

according to the ODAR Case Processig Benchmarks

Decisions writer, Editing, Corrections all can take up to 7 days each process
then sign and mail

take a look at the SSA Forms and Info section of this website, very informative.

Good luck to you and I hope this helped

A decision can go back and forth multiple times and can take months.

Makes more sense to me that the local office who can look at much (not all) of the actions being worked on for your claim would have much better information than anonymous posters on a website, even the caring and knowledgeable ones on this site. So I would not disregard the local office.

For an SSI claim, all income and resources have to be updated before any payment begins, and it is odd that your local office would have the time to do that work when there is no final award from ODAR, but if your local office wants to do the SSI update, might as well get started now rather than start a month or two or six from now.
