Around June 30 of this year I received my Short Form CDR (SSA-455-OCR-SM) review and have not yet received a letter back. Three years ago I got in back 30 days. The first time I was reviewed, I really messed up and wrote too much and had to have a full medical review, again the second review went well like I said back in 30 days. I am just worried why this latest review is taking too long I filled it out just like the last one.

Getting a deferral notice within 30 days is the exception rather than the rule.  It can take considerably longer.  Quite a few people in other SSDI groups have complained that they never received the notice, a copy of which is shown here:

https://secure.ssa.gov/apps10/poms.nsf/lnx/0413004030
____

Even if they do a CDR, the longer the delay in setting it up, the more advantageous it is to the beneficiary, because even if the CDR results in a cessation, the month of cessation is, with the few exceptions shown below, the same month of the cessation notice.

https://secure.ssa.gov/apps10/poms.nsf/lnx/0428005205

DI 28005.205 Cessation Month

Hi Street and welcome to the forum,

As Jack mentioned, your wait is not uncommon.   Social Security is very busy and the same people doing the initial cases are also doing reviews and they are not their largest priority.

Thanks for the welcome. And I would like to thank the both of you for the replies. I heard that the Short Form CDR is scanned and best not to make any mistakes on it or it gets kicked out for a full medical review, and I do not want to go through that again.
