Help me, I'm running out of nothing to do

« on: January 27, 2012, 10:40:12 PM »

But awarded 100% due to PTSD and TBI residuals (not counting those that could be separately evaluated under a different Dx code) plus Special Monthly Comp (S) for everything.

I have had 4 previous decisions on my claim, and all of them had total screw ups during the rating process (failure to apply 38 CFR appropriately), and this, the 5th one, they actually did it correctly. They went back and fixed the origianl screwed up errors, and dated everything to original dates of claims.

They now have me listed as:
100%/TOTAL PTSD (partially due to some shared symptomology with TBI)
50% Migraines (TBI)
20%TMJ
10% vertigo (TBI)
10% IBS
10% R shoulder
10% R arm nerve damage
10% Tinnitus
0% 'rrhoid rage' (hemorrhoids)
0% bi-lat hearing loss
0% skin condition/cysts

My Retro pay was also processed quickly from the St Louis RO, and should hit Monday.... if not sooner like my SSDI retro did.

I just wish they got this rating correct from the get go, and much quicker than over 2 years and 5 months later....

The IU was denied as being unnecessary, which, ok fine... though I will say IU prob did delay my claim, but also ensured it being done correctly

PBear,

I am glad you FINALLY got this worked out and have shared your history with all of us.  I am certain there are many others going through the similar experiences and reading yours will help a lot as they don't have the luxury of being engaged to a smart, and I am sure beautiful, lawyer.
